1. Only available with the Premium Plugin
Importing Demos is only available with the Premium Plugin. After the installation, you would be able to import the Content and the Theme Settings, just by two clicks. Simply navigate to Minimalio -> Demos.

2. Import Content
Importing content is of course not necessary, it’s just a starting point for your portfolio. The Import Content imports the pages, posts, portfolios, images and menus.
3. Import Settings
Importing the Settings is where the magic happens. That’s how you import the overall design of your webpage. It also selects the main menu, the homepage and it imports the widgets.
In case you have already worked on your Theme Settings, you can back it up at the bottom of the Demos page.

How to Import Minimalio Demos (Premium Plugin)
If you’ve purchased the Minimalio Premium plugin, importing demos is simplified with built-in Import Content and Import Settings buttons. This tutorial explains what these buttons do and how to use the demos once imported
Before You Start
Save your permalinks — If you haven’t done this after installing the premium plugin, go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save
Install the WordPress Importer — Make sure the WordPress import plugin is installed (Plugins → Add New → search “WordPress Importer”)
What Each Button Does
Import Content
Imports: Pages, Posts, Portfolios, Sample images, Menu
Note: Content import doesn’t delete existing content. If you run multiple imports, you’ll end up with duplicate content (or some items will be skipped, like the portfolio page which exists in most demos).
Import Settings
Imports and configures: Theme settings (Customizer options), Widgets, Sets the menu as Primary Menu, Sets the front page
Warning: This will override your current theme settings with no undo option. If you’ve already customized your theme, create a backup first using the button at the bottom of the demos page.
Recommended Workflow
For Fresh Imports: Click Import Content, Click Import Settings, Done!
When Switching to a Different Demo: Delete the previously imported content first (pages, posts, portfolios), Then import the new demo’s content, Import the new settings
Backup Your Work: You can create theme settings backups anytime from the bottom of the demos page—do this before importing new settings if you’ve made customizations you want to preserve.
Using the Demos
The demos are templates meant to be replaced with your own content:
Portfolio Page — Most demos include a page with the Portfolio template that displays your portfolios in a grid/list
Individual Portfolios — Sample portfolio items you can edit or replace
Blog Page — Some demos include a page with the Blog template
Important Notes
Additional CSS
Some demos include custom CSS code to achieve their specific look. You can find this in Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS. If you need help with specific adjustments, contact support.
Theme Settings
All imported theme settings can be adjusted in the Customizer (Appearance → Customize) to match your preferences.
Bonus Tip: Duplicate Post Plugin
Install Yoast Duplicate Post to save time when creating content:
Install and activate the plugin
Go to its Settings → Permissions
Enable duplication for Portfolios
Now you can duplicate any imported portfolio and simply replace the content instead of building from scratch each time.
That’s it—good luck with your website!
